Half Year has fly us by

Wow! How time flies. Already July is waiting on the wings to say hello.

This month has not been what I expected. The first weeks witnessed my PC having to replace certain parts for it to function and the second 2 weeks have grounded me.

I discovered my pc was showing signs of problems when the monitor gave way and it displayed messages I couldn't understand. I took it to Challenger but the technician could not resolve it.

On 1 June, with the help of Jaafar, I brought to HP service centre. I left it there till Friday 5 June evening and collected it. I then transported to Edwin's house to fix up the necessary accessories to enable me to use it. I got it back on 9 June noon and was glad I could resume my work.

Little did I know I came down with infection of some sort that grounded me non-functionable for the rest of June. The infection got so bad that my sleep had been affected. I knew my boss wasn't happy, but what can I do?

Eventually, I was driven to e-mail Dr Tham on 22 June and to confirm if my self-analysis was correct. He replied confirming it. I then went to see him on Wednesday, 24 June and found my relief after 2 dose of the medication.

However, my sleep had not improved. I wonder it is due to the Winbledon Open or what? I cannot explain.

Kok Hwa of Candid Creation gave me a trial project to edit on 15 June and reverted that He'd engage me as the editor for this project. Though it's only $250.00, it's a good experience for me to launch into the world of editing. He reverted on 22 June that for a first time editor, I am cut out for the job and hopefully we can work together for more projects.

I'm still looking for sponsors for Grandpa's book for it to see the light of day.

One not so good news to share: We have been advised by Pastor Kong to postpone our trip to the Hillsongs Conference till next year due to the A H1N1 pandemic. Though disappointed at first, but feels it's a prudent advice as we may be infected due to the uncertainty of the extent of magnitude of this flu.

Renuka from Ang Mo Kio-Yio Chu Kang Town Council asked me to write a jingle for them in May but it was called off because the committee wanted a professional company to do it. She fear I'd not meet her for lunch. We eventually met on 29 June after 2 years and am surprised she'd be married in November. Happy for her!

I spoke with Joe and told him I'll return to work once I am cleared and my insomnia problem is resolved.

Sadly, I llearned the passing of Dr Tham's wife in April. I had been wanting to speak to him but no opportunity. Hopefully, accompanying Soo Ling to see him on 6 July will offer me this opportunity to pass him a note.

Well, so much has happened, of course, not forgetting the demise of Michael Jackson during the wee hours of 26 June and remembered smsing my friends by 7am that morning.

I met Malcolm the Director of Breeze To 5 on 30 June. This was the most open-mined interview I'd ever been. He has been quite honest in that the company needs a PR personnel and an editor and that until and unless the project monetises, he is not able to pay me. He encouraged me to work with him on a part-time basis till the company finds the resources to engage me on a permanent basis.

Well, interesting! He e-mailed me some docs but I still having problems opening it. Hopefully, I can get that sorted during the weekend.

Praise The Lord! Song Jiang finally received the Lord as her saviour on 7 June and has been hungry for his word. Sharon has kindly given the bible which I'll hand her this weekend. Hong Kai has been enjoying himself in GKids.

Father, I pray you'll bless Puay Ning with excellent health; that he will defy all odds to live for you and to serve you with your abundance. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen!w
